Loading Assistance for Complex Conditions
With Forte software, loads are easily calculated and applied on one tab using using a variety of tools, including automated lateral wind load generation for tall wall members and “Quick Loads” which are templates that can be customized for common situations in your market.
Size Engineered Wood and Dimension Lumber
There is no need to switch to other engineering software to analyze members in the same project that are specified with commodity lumber. You can even size engineered wood and commodity lumber side by side; making it easy to compare design results and select the most effective solution.

Forte Screenshots

For large jobs, analyze all of the joists, beams and columns together at one time using the job tree at the left of all screens. Quickly create and define spans, supports and loads. U.S. and Canada design methodologies are available.
Easily transfer a calculated member reaction to another design member using the Link Reaction function.
For hip end roofs, use the Loading Assistant to automatically calculate and apply the roof loads on window and door headers at the exterior walls.
For each individual member problem, see your list of possible product solutions and sort them based on one of several different parameters.
Each Member Report displays all input information with critical results and assumptions. A full detail engineering report is also available.
The Job Summary provides a general overview of all of the design members in the job and may be used as a cover sheet for the calc packet.
Stud and wall column axial loads are combined with lateral wind loads in the U.S. version.
